Check out the online CCBC Directory of Wisconsin Children's Book Creators, which lists information submitted by current residents of Wisconsin who are willing to make appearances at schools, libraries, and elsewhere. The CCBC defines a Wisconsin book creator as a current or former resident of Wisconsin who written or illustrated at least one published book for children or young adults. The CCBC's resources about Wisconsin book creators include audiotapes, videotapes, and annual identification records of published books.

•The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators has regional chapters in most states, including Wisconsin.

•The Children's Book Council members list provides up-to-date names and addresses of publishers, whom you may need to go through in order to contact potential speakers.
